The covers are cut from an original watercolor painted design … on heavy watercolor paper; the inside pages are quality vintage Strathmore 400 series sketch paper … 60 lb. (89 g/m2) with a fine-tooth surface. The paper is very lightly textured, acid free sketch paper that is ideal for quick, dry media sketches … perfect for any type of journal, diary, reminders or notes; but is especially good for off-hand sketches, travel journals, drawings and such. Works with any type of dry writing instrument … graphite or colored pencil, charcoal, pastels, chalk, crayons, dry markers, regular and ballpoint ink pens, sketching stick, soft pastel, mixed media (dry), oil pastel … and also fine with ink or markers (but not too wet.)
